Last week I was cleaning up around the chicken coop and I noticed these flowering bushes growing on the bank at the coop.
I have never noticed them before. So I did a little googling. I found out that they are honeysuckle bush. https://plants.ces.ncsu.edu/plants/all/lonicera-fragrantissima/

Stuffed French Toast

I really enjoy IHOPs strawberry stuffed french toast. So this morning I decided to make some. Though mine didn't look like the ones from IHOP, but they sure did taste like them. Sorry forgot to take a picture.
Ingredients:
* Sliced white bread ( you could use Texas toast bread).
* Eggs
* Strawberries ( fresh or frozen)
* Cream cheese
* Powdered sugar
Mixture:
12 oz Cream Cheese
1 cup Powdered Sugar
1/2 cup Strawberries (cut)
6 Eggs
Mix together the cream cheese, powdered sugar and strawberries. You want to make a spread with it.
Scramble up the six eggs. You will dip the stuffed bread into it.
 Spread the strawberries mixture on each slice of bread. Once spread is on the slices make a sandwich. Take the sandwich and dip it into the egg. Make sure that it sandwich is covered in egg. Then place the sandwich in the heated up pan. Fry them up just like you would regular french toast.

Maggots for Chickens

" Maggots for Chickens "
During the spring and summer months I feed maggots to my chickens and roosters. Maggots are a great protein source.
I take a food grade bucket with lid ( I use a pickle bucket) and drill holes in it. I lay sticks in the bottom of the bucket then I add the raw meat on top of the sticks. I hang the bucket inside the chicken run. Let the wait being for the maggots wiggle out of the holes.

My Chickens

I have  been raising chickens for about 13 years now. The flock I have now ( Red Star link, Barred Rock and mix breed) are the most loving chickens and roosters. They come running when they hear my voice ( my husband gets a laugh when he sees it). They even follow me while I cut the grass in the backyard with a push mower.
